To be different,
you don't have to color your hair.
Difference is not determined
by the clothes that you wear.
It's not your music.
It's not your car.
It's not your age,
the first time you're in a bar!

To be different,
you don't need to skip school.
To be different,
you don't have to act a fool.
You don't have to do drugs,
or go sleeping around.
You don't have to be lost,
if you want to be found.

To be different,
you don't need a nose ring.
To be different,
you don't have to do anything.
You don't have to join a gang,
to be something great
and I hope this gets to you
before its, too late!

you don't need to hide when you cry.
To be different,
you don't have to die!
You don't need to leave us,
for us to know.
This life won't be better,
after you go!

Put down your guns
and know that God loves you!
